Day Care Program in Dartmouth for Different Age Groups
Children's Corner Day Care Centre Limited in Dartmouth, designs daycare programs according to different age groups. Our Colby Drive location offers full-time care to children of ages 3 months to 5 years. Our indoor and outdoor environments support all aspects of children's learning, to freely explore and extend their play. Open-ended materials, natural and synthetic loose parts, as well as pre-determined materials are available to encourage more creativity and problem solving skills.
Small-group times for planned learning experiences as well as time for uninterrupted blocks of child-directed play is incorporated throughout the day.
Infant/Toddler Unit
Ages 3 months - 36 months
Our infant/toddler units have small group sizes which assist educators when meeting individual needs of children through personal care, teacher-directed activities, and child-directed play.
Early Preschool Unit
Ages 3 - 5 years
We have a large group of 36 children in our early preschool unit. Each child has a home-based room for teacher-directed activities i.e. small group activities, snack times, and lunch. Learning is best supported during focused small group activities when guided by educators.
Children have an opportunity to explore all rooms for uninterrupted blocks of child-directed play. Each room is designed to encourage learning through play with various centres i.e. art exploration, dramatic play, constructive play, and sensory and science exploration.
